EPC training for Solar PV installers
In order for PV installation companies to be able to assess the suitability of homes and the energy measures that will be required to be made to that home, either they will need to procure the services of a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) or become one. If the installer is a qualified DEA they will be able to include the EPC in their survey and advise on the required measures immediately.
PV installation companies that do not have this capability are the ones that will not be able to provide a full service and will lose out on installations.
Energy Foundation Training has a DEA training course specifically tailored to Solar PV installers. This has been possible because of our experience with our sister company BSOLAR. BSOLAR site surveyors have provided energy assessments for potential customers at the time of the PV survey since inception.
