Solar Energy Installation Training

Training is required for all staff involved in the sales, design or installation of solar PV systems in order to gain MCS accreditation.

Our 1 day courses started in November 2009 and now run monthly in Preston and Leicester with the additional option of running the course just for you at your venue.

After training with Energy Foundation candidates should be able to survey, propose, design and install domestic and/or small commercial solar electric systems. The course follows a practical workshop approach with exercises and will cover both sales activity and system sizing.

As an ABBE NVQ Assessment Centre, Energy Foundation Training is an accredited training course provider. Our professional trainers will ensure that your course will be organised around you and all attendees will receive appropriate Certificates of Training.

Under the MCS Accreditation Scheme standards it is stated that all members of staff involved in the process of sales, design and installation must have received appropriate training. The City and Guilds PV Installer course provides a training course and qualification for qualified electricians only. We do not offer that course, many local FE colleges run this qualification. Ours is the only course that we know of that provides a similar level of knowledge and a certificate of learning for everybody involved in the PV installation business that is not an electrician.
